Abstract

Teenagers nowadays live in a digital world where technology is always present. the complex interplay between teenage tech use, sleep habits, and psychological well-being. Adolescents' exposure to stimulating information that might disturb their sleep-wake cycles is on the rise due to the spread of cellphones, social media platforms, and online entertainment. Research has shown that teenagers who spend a lot of time in front of screens are more likely to have problems with sleep quality, shorter sleep durations, and delayed sleep initiation due to the continual connectedness that technology provides. Research has linked using electronic devices in the hours leading up to bedtime to an increase in alertness and disruption of the body's natural sleep cycle. As a result, sleep loss has serious consequences for the mental health of adolescents, including an uptick in the prevalence of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. The necessity for all-encompassing treatments to reduce the negative impact of technology on adolescents' health is highlighted by the fact that there is a two-way street connecting technology usage, sleep disruptions, and mental health.
