Abstract

The widespread usage of social media platforms among teenagers has given rise to worries over the impact that these platforms have on the adolescents' well-being and sense of self-worth. The purpose of this study is to analyse the myriad ways in which social media can have an effect on the psychological and emotional development of teenagers. A varied group of teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 participated in the study, and the research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach, which included both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Through the utilisation of an all-encompassing method, our objective is to get an understanding of the intricacies of social media usage patterns and the consequences that these patterns have on one's well-being and self-esteem.
